MacDonald Architects: Early Design ConceptEarly design concept.

MacDonald Architects hired me to create their entire web branding identity. The project involved:

  • Design and development of the site's visual identity, navigation, and architecture
  • Research and preparation of all the visual assets (animations, images, drawings, etc)
  • Programming of all interactive elements

Of particular interest for this project was my collaboration with the client on using the new site as an educational tool (as well as a medium for marketing). The nature of architectural design and the client's willingness to give me access to a large amount of the studio's content allowed the site to feature some interesting components: QuickTime videos of high profile projects, an assortment of architectural drawings, models, and computer renderings, and narrative that is presented in a story-like format. The given approach allowes the reader to understand the project history, design process, and goals for each of the firm's 15 completed bridge projects.
