VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

You'll die more times than Kenny from South Park.

Developing your character is the core of the game. Defeat monsters and accomplish missions to do that. Skills grow in proportion to the difficulty of defeating monsters. The experience system makes it easy to gain levels at first, but forces you to join parties at higher levels of experience. You pay a stiff experience penalty for death, so try not to keel over often.

At its heart, combat is much like that in most other massively multiplayer online RPGs. Besides a basic attack, each character learns different weapon skills or spells. Most players will need to master the skillchain system, where a group can deal increased damage by timing different skills in a specific order in rapid succession. Mages who learn the proper formula can similarly lump a magic burst on top. The possibilities are endless with enough mastery over the basic controls for each character type.
